How to see our animals in your roomA book, a phone or tablet, and about ten seconds.
Every animal page in our three augmented reality picture books, Dinosaurs Are Back, Farm Animals and Forest Animals, carries a small QR code. Scan it and the animal comes to life in your room. Here's what happens, what you need, and what to do if it sulks.

Open the camera
Not an app. The normal camera of the phone or tablet. On iPhone and most Androids it reads QR codes by itself. Point it at the code on the page.

Tap the link that pops up
It opens app.madeofyou.com in your browser. The animal appears in 3D within a few seconds. Drag to spin it, pinch to zoom, tap the speaker for its sound.

Tap “See it in your room”
Point the phone or tablet at the floor and move it slowly. The animal appears standing there. Walk around it, get close, take a photo or a video. The camera picture is never sent to us.

We say this plainly on purpose: Fire tablets are popular with kids, and they show the 3D animals beautifully, but Amazon doesn't support AR on them. Not sure about yours? Check this phone or tablet, or see the full device list.
If something doesn't work
Still stuck? Write to us, a real person answers, usually the one who built it.
- The camera doesn't recognise the code
- Hold the phone or tablet a little further away and keep it still. On older Androids, open Google Lens or the Google app's camera.
- The animal shows but “See it in your room” does nothing
- On Android, install “Google Play Services for AR” from the Play Store (free, made by Google). On iPhone, make sure you are in Safari, not inside another app's browser.
- You opened the link from Instagram, Facebook or Messenger
- Their built-in browsers can't open the 3D viewer on iPhone. Tap the menu (••• or ⋮), choose to open the page in your browser, and use Safari or Chrome.
- It's on a child's profile (Amazon Kids, Google Kids Space)
- A parent may need to approve the website first. On an Amazon Kids profile, add app.madeofyou.com to the approved websites. In Google Kids Space, approve it when your child asks.
- It asks for camera permission
- Say yes. The 3D viewer needs the camera to see your floor. We never receive the image.
- It's slow
- The first animal downloads a few megabytes. On mobile data, give it ten seconds; after that it's cached.
