The book's game, with no screen

  1. Print the letter. The coloring page works well: your child colors it first, then it goes into hiding.
  2. While nobody is looking, hide it in something that starts with its sound: under the teddy, in a toy truck, or folded into a towel.
  3. Say the sound together, as the book does: “t, t, t... Where can t be?” When your child finds it, they trace it with a finger and shout “Got you, little t!”

Good to know

Why t is a little shorter

Put t next to l and look at the tops. t starts a little under the top line, so it's shorter than the tall letters: l, h, k, b and d.

Its line across sits on the middle line. Next to a, c or o it still stands tall, as our book says: tall and straight, with arms across the top.
