The book's game, with no screen

  1. Print the letter. The coloring page works well: your child colors it first, then it goes into hiding.
  2. While nobody is looking, hide it in something that starts with its sound: in an empty vase, inside a toy van, or in the vegetable drawer.
  3. Say the sound together, as the book does: “v, v, v... Where can v be?” When your child finds it, they trace it with a finger and shout “Got you, little v!”

v or u?

v and u are both open at the top. The difference is at the bottom.

v comes to a point: two straight slants, down and up, without lifting the pencil. u is round at the bottom, and its right side goes on down to the base line.

In our book, v pretends to be two pointy leaves in a vase.
