Short, because there isn't much to say.

The AR viewer

When you scan a code in a book, the animal opens at app.madeofyou.com. The camera image stays on your device; we never receive photos, video, audio or location. There is no account and no login. We count page visits with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that stores no personal data.

The secret pages in our books

If you ask for the secret animals, the secret dragon or the secret name of a book, or for the calm plan of Foo's Big Emotions by email (the pages /spike, /farm, /forest and /dragons, the secret page of Catch the Letters! and the Calm Crew page), we keep the email address you give us, your first name if you add one (only on the secret animals pages), the book it came from and the date. We also keep your answer to the box “Send me news about new Made Of You books”: ticked or not, when, and those exact words. On the secret page of Catch the Letters! you also give your child's first name: we use it only to write your email and to make the name in 3D, and we do not keep it. We never ask for a child's email.

We send one email right away, with the links and a sheet to print. Only if you ticked the box does your address also join our news list, and then now and then we write about a new book. If you did not tick it, that first email is the only one you get.

On the secret animals pages a small cookie remembers that you already asked, so the page can welcome you back. It holds no personal data.

Printables by email

On our free printables pages (the alphabet, times tables, calm-down, scavenger hunt, riddle and joke pages) you can ask for all the sheets of a page in one file, and on a phone or tablet you can send one sheet to your email to print it at home. Every sheet stays free to download without an email. If you ask by email, we keep the address you give us, the page you were on, what you asked for and the date, and your answer to the box “Send me news about new Made Of You books” in the same way as above. We send one email right away, with the links (a Christmas pack also brings the short Christmas emails under “Email series”). Only if you ticked the box does your address also join our news list. We never ask for a child's email or name there.

Email series

A few things on our site come as a short series of emails you ask for: 24 Doors, our advent calendar (one door a morning from December 1 to 24, with a welcome when you sign up and a reminder on November 30); Foo's 7 Calm Nights and Fall's 7 Thankful Nights (one night a day for a week); and our Christmas emails. A free Christmas pack asked for before November 30 brings one more free thing two days later and two short Christmas notes before December; Dancer the Reindeer from one of our free pages brings one more email two days later about the book he comes from; and Dancer from the book itself brings a short note on Christmas Eve and a thank-you after Christmas. For these we keep the address you give us, where you signed up, the date, which email of the series comes next and when the last one went, and your answer to the box “Send me news about new Made Of You books” in the same way as above. We send at most one email a day, and when the series ends, the emails stop. Only if you ticked the box does your address also join our news list. Santa writes back (Santa's reply by email on a day you pick in December: one email at once and his reply on that day) keeps your address and the day you picked, never your child: the first name and the two good things you pick write the first email and its link once, and then we delete them; the Nice List certificate by email works the same way. The reindeer on Christmas Day (the plan for Christmas Eve at once, and a note from Dancer on December 25) keeps only your address and where you signed up. Otherwise, apart from the Fridge gallery below, we never ask for anything about your child: the name on the advent calendar is written on paper, and the Calm Crew certificate's name never leaves your browser.

On the pages of our coloring and drawing sheets you can send us a photo of your child's finished page for the Fridge, our gallery on madeofyou.com. Your phone or tablet straightens the photo and saves it again before it is sent, which removes the hidden data a camera adds (the place, the time, the device). We keep the photo, the sheet it shows, the first name or nickname and the age if you give them (both are optional; this is the one place on our site where we keep anything about a child, because you ask us to show it), your email, and your yes to the consent box with its exact words and the time. Until we approve it, the photo is stored encrypted, where only our website's server and we can read it: it has no public address. Once approved it shows on madeofyou.com with the name and age you gave, and it may appear in one of Made Of You's social media posts; the gallery pages are kept out of search engines. We send one email when we get the picture and one when it is up (or if we cannot use it), never more than one a day, and news only if you ticked that box. The email that says it is up has a link to take the picture down at once, and you can also reply to any email from us. Declined and taken-down photos are deleted from our website within 30 days. Please send only the page: no faces, full names, addresses or school names.

“Tell me when the book is out”

Until October 2026, the pages of a book that was not out yet let you leave an email to hear when it was (the times tables book and Catch the Letters!). Both are out now, and no page asks for this any more. For the addresses left there we keep the address, the book, the date and, on the times tables pages, which table you were on. They never joined the news list, and they get no email other than the one on the day the book came out.

Unsubscribe

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and your mail app may show its own Unsubscribe button too. One click takes your address off the news list and off any email about a book coming out. We keep a note that you unsubscribed, only so that we never write to you again. To have the address deleted altogether, write to us (see below).

Where it is kept

Sanity, our content database, keeps the addresses and answers above. Resend sends our emails: it keeps the news list and a record of each email it sent. Vercel runs this website. We never sell or share any of it.

What stays in your browser

The times tables game, the flash cards and the practice pages keep a child's progress in this browser only, on this device, and a few pages remember a choice, like who is playing. None of it is sent to us, and there is no account. The name tracing sheets, the certificates and the Calm Crew's calm plan use a child's name only to draw it on the page: it never leaves the browser, and the calm plan we email has no name on it. We count page visits on this site with Umami too, without cookies and without personal data.

The contact form

Messages go by email to info@madeofyou.com and are kept only as long as the conversation needs.

Amazon links

Buy buttons lead to Amazon. From that moment Amazon's privacy policy applies, not ours. Some links carry a tag that tells us a sale came from our site; it doesn't tell us who you are.

Your rights

We are based in Greece, so the GDPR applies. To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, write to info@madeofyou.com. We'll do it within a few days. To stop our emails, the unsubscribe link is enough.
