For grown-ups
Foo's 7 Calm Nights
In our picture book Foo's Big Emotions, Foo finds his way back to calm, and his friends show him theirs. These seven nights turn each way into a short calm-down for bedtime, one a night, so your child can try them all and keep the ones that work.
For the grown-up
Six more calm nights, one a day
Each evening, a different friend from the book has a two minute calm-down for bedtime: Blue jumps the busy day away, Bubbly blows slow bubbles, Gooey squeezes and lets go, Flo paints the day, Muse listens to the quiet and Fall lets the worries fall. Night seven ends with a Calm Crew certificate to print.
How it works
Dim the lights, turn the sound on and press start. A gentle voice and a slow picture lead your child through one calm-down, about two minutes long. There is nothing to tap and no microphone: it only plays, it never listens. At the end the light dims, and your phone or tablet may go to sleep.
Seven nights, seven friends
Night one is Foo's slow breaths. Then each evening, a friend from the book: Blue jumps the busy day away, Bubbly blows slow bubbles, Gooey squeezes and lets go, Flo paints the day, Muse listens to the quiet and Fall lets the worries fall.
A certificate at the end
After night seven your child is a member of the Calm Crew, with a certificate to print. You type their name on your phone or tablet: it is drawn right there and never sent to us.
